Centrparcs is nice especially if you’ve got kids as travelling overseas on flights especially when you have a stop over flight can be a nightmare. Trying to manage children’s expectations without tantrums and tears is extraordinarily difficult especially if you’ve got to negotiate that painful two hours between leaving the flight, collecting your luggage and getting the bus or taxi into your resort and then waiting at the back of that long queue to check in. We’ve all been there. However it’s great to wake up in the morning wander down to the beach and really relax with the warm sun beating down on your face – isn’t that just the best feeling in the World.

Last year I went on a last minute holiday to India. While I was there I enjoyed sightseeing and visiting cathedrals, and enjoying the culture. In India the people are so friendly. Indian culture is so fascinating that I was so glad to be there. The Taj Mahal, which is one of the seven wonders of the world, makes you feel like you’re in a different world. Holidays to different places make you realise that the world is such a beautiful place. Holidays are the best solution for everybody to get away from the dull and boring routine of everyday life. I’ve seen people who come back from holiday so fresh and full of life. After a break from work or daily life they can contribute to their work or social life even more.
Two years ago when I went to Spain, I felt so relaxed in the sun as it was away from the cold and miserable whether of England. My kids now can’t wait to go back on that sort of holiday. You know there are so many activities for kids that even adults can indulge themselves. Making sandcastles, running around on the beach and playing different games are such beautiful memories that children come back with.
A last minute holiday to Egypt is one of the best holidays that I ever had. Visiting those pyramids had such an impact on me that it makes me think about the art and technology in those days. Even when I watch those programmes on television about the pyramids I really get into it. I think “oh, I‘ve seen those, I’ve been there.” Thus holidays play such a vital role in enhancing your general knowledge. Whenever I show the world map to my kids even they can spot the places they’ve been. When they go back to school they can explain the whole holiday story in front of their class. In this way, children’s confidence can be boosted.
I still remember my third holiday in Switzerland. I was trying to ski. I kept falling down. But slowly and eventually I did it. I felt so proud that on holiday I learnt something new. So it was like learning and enjoying at the same time. We did ice-skating. When you see the earth covered in snow it looks like someone has put a beautiful white sheet on the earth .You want to write poetry on it. It is really amazing. You admire the beauty. It is so perfect that you can’t see a single mistake in it. It can even turn an unromantic person to a very romantic person. My husband proposed me on those white sheets of snow. It made me feel so special.
When you come back from holiday, then you have something interesting to talk about. You can tell your friends all about your experiences of your holiday. When you talk about your holiday it makes you feel like you are still there. You can even recommend the place you’ve been to. And ask their recommendation for the place for your next holiday. It’s always good to know which is the best place to go? Self-catering or the hotels. Especially with the kids sometimes it’s best to go to the self-catering ones. From my personal experience I know that the self-catering ones are good with kids. My kids are very fussy eaters. So when we go on holiday we always select the self-catering holidays. Then you can cook whatever everybody wants and even whenever he or she wants to eat. Whenever you go on a self-catering holiday don’t forget to take the spices and the bits and pieces with you, as they are very expensive on the holiday destinations. And you can’t even finish whole packets of spices. I remember saving a lot of money by taking little bits and pieces with me. Don’t forget to buy little presents. To bring little presents with you to remind you of those beautiful places. Another thing about going on holiday with kids is that you can take some toys with you. Like if you are going to a beach holiday take toy bucket and spade, inflatable toys or computer games and things like that. It will keep your kids occupied while you spend some quality time with each other.
Short, cheap last minute city breaks are also great. There are some truly great offers on nowadays. Especially, the credit crunch has helped in some way to bring the prices down. It has opened a new way for holiday lovers. I know all of us are holiday lovers. There is no doubt about it. We all want to get away from the dull routine of day-to-day life. And I know bargains always make you feel better and good quality and even cheaper holidays will do the job.
